Английский Письменные Упражнение (Все уровни)

курс 201, Раздел 7, Урок 3

Needs and Wants

Инструкции: Сравните "need" и "want" в предложениях о шести людях: о вас и мне, мальчике и девочке, человеке и женщине. Кроме того, используйте утвердительные и отрицательные варианты либо "need", либо "want" в некоторых предложениях. Например: I want a car, but I need to finish my college degree. She wants ice cream; she does not want broccoli.

Mauricio's Упражнение: Средняя Оценка:
How do you get my house? It is very easy.
First you go out of your house and walk straight two blocks to the bus station.
Then you you take a bus that says Unicentro. It is the blue with red one. You get on the bus and you sit in any chair.
Then you get off the bus in the Suba Avenue. You can see a street next to a gas station.Go along this road, and take the first turn on the left. Then take the first turn on the right. You can´t miss it.
Go to the end of the street. Take a left. Go straight two blocks. Take the third right turn. Then it is two blocks down that street. Take the first turn on the left. Go through two lights, walk along to the end of the next block. Take a left. Then take the first right and you are here.
As I said it is too easy.
Thanks for your pacience. It´s just I need to practice.
Take care

Very very good Mauricio, excellent in fact. In english when we give directions we use AHEAD when we tell people to go straight. You are correct and I understand You but if you use ahead it is better understood.

    "says Unicentro"

It is better to say "reads Unicentro" because a Bus can not SAY anything!!  It is a Bus!

This is a very small issue and is pedantic but you are smart enough to learn new things fast.

I deleted "you go out of your house" and "You get on the bus and you sit in any chair" because that's presumed. People know when you give directions, the first step is for them to leave their house. When you say 'take the bus,' it means that they need to get on the bus. We don't say sit down on the bus because that's common sense.

Besides saying, "Take the first left," you can also say, "Turn left at the first intersection."

If you want me to explain any of my  corrections, you can send me a message as always.

It is the blue and with red one. And patience was spelled wrong :p

    Otherwise it's very good.

Hey! I'm so sorry it took me so long to record this. Lo siento!

FRIENDS I have two very good friends at the University- Tom Miller and John Sloan. John is my roommate in the dormitory, and Tom has a room in a house near the University. Tom is from Wisconsin. His family has a farm. He is six feet tall and has broad shoulders, big hands and feet, dark hair, and brown eyes. He goes for a walk every afternoon and he often takes his dog, Birkie, with him. Birkie is a black Scottie and has very short legs.

Tom has very long legs and walks very fast. Birkie runs all the time. They are a funny couple! Tom is very serious and studies hard. He wants to be a doctor and go back to the country.

John is quite different. He is very short and thin, and has blond hair, a very small nose, and a big mouth. He dresses well and he thinks he is very elegant! His family lives near Boston. I know them very well. John studies art, but he prefers to go dancing with his friend Mary. Mary is a good-looking and very nice girl. We are all good friends. Tom knows a little Spanish and sometimes I speak it with him. John often asks, "How do you say 'How are you?', 'What is your name?', 'good-bye', 'see you later', etc in Spanish?"
