Excellent Vanesa! Today IS January 12th. The weather is cold and cloudy now BECAUSE it was raining in the morning. (Great!) I think that tomorrow WILL be hot. (no 'it' because you already wrote TOMORROW.)
Good work!
HI, Vanesa. Today is January 12th. The weather is cold and cloudy now, and (?) it was raining in the morning.
["Because" indicates causality, but the morning rain did not cause the cold and cloudy weather, right? They may have coincided (happened at the same time). Clouds can cause rain, since there must be clouds to have rain. So, I would not use the construction you chose. Would it make more sense to write, "It rained this morning, and it is (still) cold and cloudy now"?]
Maybe in the afternoon it will be sunny. I think ("that" is optional) tomorrow it will be hot.
I read this last sentence differently from how wyatt4500 did. I read "it" to refer to the weather - not tomorrow. I'd keep the "it."
Well done, Vanesa.
Shari
"Today is January 12th. The weather is cold and cloudy now, becuase it was raining in the morning. Maybe in the afternoon it will be sunny. I think that tomorrow it will be hot."
That's fine.
The "cold and cloudy, because it was raining" is acceptable but a little strange - as Shari said, it implies the rain caused the clouds - but, as you've written "cold" too, it's not so bad (rain can cause coldness).
